Located in a community of 54,000, the North Bay Public Library was founded in 1896 as the first free public library in Northern Ontario. The original library was located at the corner of McIntyre and Wyld, and can now be found at 271 Worthington Street East.

Temagami Public Library Welcome Centre

Library Membership
Membership is free to all persons who live or pay property taxes within the Municipality of Temagami. One free membership card will be issued. A replacement card costs $2.00.

The annual membership fee for non-residents is $25.00. For identification purposes proof of current address is required before a library card can be issued. Anyone under the age of 16 years requires a parent or guardian's signature.

Patrons may borrow up to 5 items per loaning period.
